Good Morning? or Good Night?

Good Morning? or Good Night?
Which ever way you look at it, I should be asleep!
So I'm going to be updating this blog twice a week with at least 2 artworks each time I post! Right now I've been jumbled up between homework, actual work and preparing myself for my friend's wedding. I am completely excited for her and have nothing but best wishes for them and their new life together. And I can't imagine how much of stress she's going through planing the whole thing, but she seems to have it together. But anyway about art, this set is from my drawing class, most of these drawings (I'll put some more up next time) are done with a nude model posing.
So the usual warning stands; Contains Nudity

This was one of the first drawings they asked us to do in the class, first day. I needed a lot of work.

As the days went by we learned to do gestures, and as you can see I got a little better.

These drawings exercises were designed for the artist to get a sense of movement in the figure quickly, most of these were done in under 10 minutes.

That's all for now!

Mornings

I love sleeping in on Saturdays, but I am having a harder time doing that because of my wonderful classes. It's all good though I have plenty of time to laze about. Here's my next set of pictures: warning does contain nuidity.

This is a one point perspective drawing to scale that I did of our kitchen. I had a few comments from my mother of it being too messy. But I kinda like it that way. I remember meticulously drawing this over and over again, my teach wanted a certain level of perfection, and would find something wrong with it every time I showed him something complete, I for one am happy that he did that, he was one of the only ones that pushed me to achieve something near perfection.

This one is a watercolor study of shadows and drapery. Now looking back at this I wish I'd gone darker in some areas.

Nude model sitting on a stool. Unfinished as you can tell.

This project was designed to study contour and the shape, and it's one of my favorite pieces in my portfolio.

Well till next time!

New Day

Hey Folks,

My name is Leeanne, and I am currently in University for Visual Arts. This blog is here mainly for portfolio reasons. It will showcase my paintings, drawing and photography (possibly some witty anecdotes if I can muster something). And as a warning there will be nudity. Nothing out of the norm for any art student. But lets get the ball rolling here's a few pieces:

Most of these were done when I was actually studying Art Fundamentals at a College. One of the best years for me artistically, the teachers there helped push me into becoming a much stronger artist.

That's all for now, till next time!
